The Selangor State Climate Change Adaptation Centre drives the state’s transition toward a climate-ready and sustainable future. The Centre connects policy, innovation, and on-the-ground action to deliver climate solutions that work for people and the planet.
We also advance the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthen Selangor’s commitment to ESG principles. Through our work, we help the state build long-term resilience and contribute to Malaysia’s national sustainability agenda toward 2030.

We support efforts that reduce emissions and shift Selangor toward a low-carbon future. This includes promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy, restoring forests to absorb carbon, and accelerating the use of green technologies.
Our work is anchored by three core pillars. They give structure to our mission, help us stay impact-oriented, and ensure that every programme contributes to a climate-resilient Selangor.
We coordinate and monitor statewide sustainability actions including the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories and climate adaptation measures.
We design and deliver policies, guidelines, and research that strengthen climate resilience, drive mitigation and adaptation efforts, and protect Selangor’s biodiversity and natural ecosystems.
We plan, support, and scale green technologies and renewable energy solutions while creating pathways for green investment and innovation across the state.
We work closely with the private sector to build a supportive environment for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth in Selangor’s green economy.
We empower communities through awareness, education, and participation so that every person in Selangor has a role in shaping a climate-resilient future.
Tackling climate change requires a comprehensive approach. It requires a collective effort across sectors. SCAC follows a 3P Model, ensuring actions targeted at Policy, People, and Partnerships drive impactful climate action
We conduct research and develop policies, programmes, and campaigns that reflect Selangor’s climate priorities. We track progress through monitoring and evaluation and prepare key state-level reporting including VSR and GHG inventories.
We strengthen the capabilities of policymakers, agencies, businesses, and the public by building knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate climate challenges.
We create strategic partnerships across sectors to unlock shared expertise, resources, and innovation. Together we accelerate climate action and drive system-wide change for Selangor.
